Homemade Miso Soup

Equipment

  • 1 small pot

Ingredients

  • 60 grams red miso paste (about 4 tbsp)
  • 50 grams soft or silken tofu (about ¼ cup) diced
  • 5 grams wakame seaweed (about ½ tbsp)
  • 5 grams dashi powder optional
  • 750 ml water (about 3 cups)
  • green onion or leek optional

Instructions

  • Boil all ingredients in a pot until miso has dissolved and wakame seaweed has reconstituted.

Notes

  • Miso paste. We prefer red miso paste because it has more depth of flavor, but white miso will also work.
